At the end of November KITA’s project manager Michael Asamoah and two students Adam Kpama and Iaasc Ametor, joined AgriCrops for a two-day training on no till agriculture in Ghana at the No Till Center for Agriculture. The training was lead by Dr. Kofi Boa and Staff. At the training, participants learned the importance of no till farming. Using such practices like cover cops and crop ration will not only produce high yields but ensure conservation of the soil. One of the most exciting parts of the training was participants got to operate farm equipment such as a roller crimper and seeder pulled behind a John Deere tractor. This was a great “hands on” training and project manger Michael has already started to implement some practices on KITA school Farm.
